Summer vacation is quickly approaching! Kids are already counting down the days until that wonderful time of the year is here where the sun shines all the time and knowing which day of the week it is no longer important. I had a patient last week who came in complaining that she wasn't seeing well. Our Visual Field Analyzer detected a specific type of peripheral (side vision) loss that was suspicious for a pituitary tumor. An MRI confirmed this diagnosis and a golf ball sized tumor was removed this week. The surgeon thought that the tumor was about 10 years old, which corresponded to the patients last eye exam!
